At our video production company - moho creative - in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, we take lighting very seriously.
So seriously, in fact, that sometimes we the owners have to step in to test the lighting for our models. But what happens when we realize that the models are just much better looking than us? Let's just say it's a humbling experience.
The models were still in hair / make-up when we got to the point that I needed to test lighting. I asked Meredith to pop into frame for me and I toiled, seemingly unable to get the lighting to look how I and the client wanted it. Likewise, I stepped in front of the camera to test the side angle. And the results just didn’t match up with my vision.
Turns out, my vision was models. And it turns out there is a REASON they are models. Immediately when they stepped in I exclaimed: “we nailed it!!”
At the end of the day, we learned that it's not about us being the most photogenic. It’s about our clients looking good on camera.
It's about having fun, being creative, and producing high-quality videos that our clients love. And who knows, maybe one day we'll surprise ourselves and take the modeling world by storm. But for now, we'll stick to what we know best: producing killer videos in Bucks County, Philadelphia, New York City and everywhere in between.
